The Scope of Practice 2008 project report is among the new titles soon to be launched by the SoR shortly as an interactive online copy in the SoR document library.
"This document will shape the face of radiography for the future," said Christina Freeman, SoR professional officer. "It identifies developing radiography practice over the past five years, and explores future roles."
From this work a further document will be written which defines the Scope of Practice for the profession in 2008. Also there will be various professional advice and guidance written which will provide the development needed to support current practice in imaging and radiotherapy.
"Publishing this document straight to the online document library means members have full access instantly in a format that is user-friendly, easy to browse and reduces our carbon footprint," Christina explains.
The virtual library allows users to effortlessly search through the Society’s publications dating back to 2002.
Features include a virtual briefcase, fully searchable content and printable pages.
Other titles coming soon include:
• Advice on the protection of pregnant patients during diagnosticmedical exposures to ionising radiation.
• The role of the community liaison expert radiographer practitioner.
• Protected Study Time (PST) Charter for Scotland.
• Scope of Practice Research Report.
• Draft response to RCR skills mix survey.
