The SoR is calling on radiographers and managers to help shape the future of local health services by joining in the NHS Next Stage Review.
In July 2007, Secretary of State for Health Alan Johnson asked Lord Ara Darzi to conduct a 'once in a generation review' of the health service in England, consulting with patients and staff to set priorities for the next 60 years, with a focus on access, quality and safety. The review is called "Our NHS, Our Future" the NHS next stage review.
Nine English SHAs have developed improved models of care for their regions to ensure that the NHS is up to date with the latest clinical developments and is able to meet changing needs and expectations.
The SHAs published these clinically led vision documents between May and June, setting out their priorities for improving health and healthcare over the next decade.
Each of the SHA documents is out for consultation for three months.
Take action
The SoR is asking members and regional committee representatives to read and respond to their regional document.
Please also copy your responses to CEO Richard Evans at SoR Head Office. This will ensure that SoR response is informed by radiographers.

Future website.
