A new document from the NHS Fetal Anomaly Screening Programme (FASP) for England will set out core standards to underpin the service provided to pregnant women who choose to undergo screening.
During the past three years the FASP has been working with experts in the field to agree and set down the basic screening test at the 18–20 week six day ultrasound scan which will provide the minimum screening that pregnant women should expect.
The fetal screening menu is now complete and FASP is inviting radiographers to complete a feedback questionnaire on the final document before it is made national practice.
