The SoR is pleased to announce that its much anticipated e-Learning for Healthcare image interpretation project is now available.
There are currently 50 interactive learning sessions which are designed to enable radiographers to:
• Interpret the results of radiographic imaging examinations of the musculo-skeletal system, identifying accurately both normal examinations and trauma and pathological conditions.
• Provide high quality reports on imaging examinations, communicating these appropriately to referring clinicians.
The units are available to all practitioners in the NHS, however the delivery platform for NHS England is different to that needed for Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. This is something inherent in the NHS systems and is entirely beyond the SoR’s control.
NHS England
For radiographers working in NHS England access is via the National Learning Management System (NLMS).
Managers in England should have been contacted by the Electronic Staff Records (ESR) central team to organise this and should receive a spreadsheet of those staff who are eligible for access.
If there are any staff from your department that are missing from your spreadsheet, it is quite likely that they have already been set up with access to NLMS. If this occurs, please contact your NLMS account manager who will be able to contact your local learning and development lead and will be able to assist.
Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales
For radiographers in Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales access is via the Learning Management System (LMS) – please speak to your service manager/ IT department if you are unsure how to access this.
For LMS users interactive tutorials are available. The tutorials are designed in a step-by-step format allowing users to move through them at their own pace. They are available on the e-LfH website.
