As part of its 90th anniversary celebrations, the SoR was delighted to present three prestigious Gold Medal Awards.
The Gold Medal is the highest honour bestowed by the organisation and is awarded to those who have made an exceptional contribution to radiography.
The winners, who received their awards at a ceremony earlier this month, are as follows:
• Derek Adrian-Harris, recently retired head of radiography at the University of Portsmouth.
• Professor Gill Marshall, chair of medical imaging education at the University of Cumbria;
• In recognition for his work in forensic radiography, amongst other achievements, Mark Viner from Barts & The London NHS Trust;
Stewart Whitley, head of radiography services at Blackpool Victoria Hospital, received a Silver Medal for his outstanding dedication and contribution to the profession.
The SoR acknowledged further contributions to radiography with three Fellowship awards. Recipients were Leonie Paskin, Donna Routsis and Beverley Snaith. Read more here.
