The SoR has issued the following information notice to all monthly direct debit payers...
This month we updated the banking software which processes the monthly direct debit collections.
The new software has incorrectly created an extra digit in the reference field which identifies a member's record with the direct debit instruction set up with the bank.
Unfortunately, this has resulted in all the direct debits being rejected this month.
You may have seen from your account that on 9 July a debit was taken, then immediately followed by a credit for the same amount.
The monthly subscription will now be debited from your account on
Thursday 15 July. This new date does fall within the three working days allowed by the bank for representing direct debits.
I must express my sincere apologies for any inconvenience that this has caused. Your membership has not been affected but please do not hesitate to contact me if you require any further information.
