SoR News has scooped a prestigious award at this year’s Trade Union Communications Awards.
The Society’s electronic newsletter for accredited representatives was highly commended in the ‘Best use of electronic communication’ category.
Commenting on the e-zine, the judges said: “This is an increasingly common way to do organisational newsletters but this is the most effective that the judges saw.
“It has a simple, attractive and clear presentation – with easily available links to other stories in the same issue – and uses images to give it colour.
"This newsletter appears to be cost-effective and doubtless would engage well with its target audience.”
Warren Town, the SoR’s director of industrial relations, collected the award from TUC president Dougie Rooney on Thursday 1 July (pictured).
