The Society is encouraging its members to take part in a survey of the role and performance of ultrasound scanners for obstetric applications.
The results of the survey will be included in a buyers' guide, produced by KCARE, which will focus on the technical and operational considerations when purchasing an obstetric ultrasound system.
A market review will contain a list of all the obstetric ultrasound scanners on the UK market with key specifications. This is intended to aid purchasing by helping people shortlist systems which might be appropriate for their needs, and exclude others which are not.
The user survey should take approximately 10 to 15 minutes. Researchers are only interested in scanners which are still available to the UK market, so please don't include any scanners which are more than five years old. Departments with several scanners are welcome to submit survey responses for each scanner, though this will have to be done separately.
