CoRIPS update

Richard Evans, Society CEO, has welcomed Nucletron to the College of Radiographers Industry Partnership Scheme (CoRIPS).

Nucletron is a leader in providing some of the world’s most innovative cancer treatment products and solutions.

As part of the industry partnership scheme, Nucletron will provide financial support for radiographer-led research and education projects, which are funded through the scheme. The company will also have the opportunity to collaborate with the Society, its members and the other industry partners.

Mark Hitchman, Nucletron’s managing director for UK & Ireland, commented: “The industry partnership scheme gives Nucletron the opportunity to support radiography important research. We also run a wide range of training programmes and the scheme will help us when we look to obtain CPD Now accreditation.”

Richard Evans added: “I’m delighted to welcome Nucletron – which is a world leader in providing solutions and devices in radiation oncology.

“Since the launch of CoRIPS in spring 2007, the scheme has funded nearly 20 pieces of research covering a wide range of specialities and modalities. Alongside this, the scheme also gives industry partners like Nucletron additional exposure and the chance to network with members of the Society. This improves user involvement in product development and testing, as industry can readily draw upon the expertise of the Society and its members.”
