A new website offers users entry to a world of a benefits led approach to informatics.
The Benefits of Informatics Zone (the Biz) – provides a resource for planning, business cases and benefits management, supporting the NHS in a benefits led approach to investment in informatics.
It provides information, guidance, templates and links to other relevant information sources (including documentation).
As a dynamic environment, it will, for example, support the annual strategic planning round for the NHS for informatics planning.
The website provides a central point for dissemination and sharing of evidence of benefits reported by the NHS, and will be updated as soon as material becomes available.
It brings together best practice models described in office of government commerce (OGC), managing successful programmes (MSP) and Prince II, modern benefits management practices, and HM Treasury and Department of Health guidance on capital investment and business cases.
