Applications sought

Applications are being sought for the next cohort of ISAS assessors.

The Imaging Services Accreditation Scheme (ISAS) is an accreditation process to support radiology departments in the UK in delivering higher quality patient-focused services.

“Assessors, both technical and lay, are integral to the scheme,” explained Ethna Glean from ISAS. “The aim is to build a pool of up to 150-200 individuals to provide assessment support to specified diagnostic imaging services on an annual basis.”

All assessors are expected to undertake a minimum of two assessments a year (approximately 10 days effort with a maximum of four days onsite visits).

“As well as contributing towards your CPD, this can be valuable experience for those wishing to gain essential insight to support their own organisation’s preparation for ISAS accreditation,” said Ethna.

For more information on the assessor role and an application pack, please visit the jobs section on the UKAS website.
