Radiographers are invited to an event which aims to update delegates on key issues affecting the quality of service they provide.
The one-day meeting, entitled Revalidation, contracts, PACS and pensions: A short guide for radiologists, radiographers and clinical leads! will provide updates on the key issues affecting contracts and pensions, and will give feedback on national programmes, from the PACS and Teleradiology Group.
After attending the meeting delegates should feel that they understand:
• RCR and SCoR accreditation, revalidation and recertification processes;
• New contracts being offered or imposed by employers and any options they might have regarding these;
• Possible or imminent changes to pension provision in the NHS;
• Where the national IT programmes are going and how far they have progressed.
The event is being organised jointly by the Royal Society of Medicine’s Radiology Section and the Royal College of Radiologists Clinical Management Group. The Society of Radiographer’s CEO, Richard Evans, and director of professional policy, Professor Audrey Paterson, will be speaking at the event.
