To help promote the work of the profession, the SoR has written to all NHS trust chief executives to invite them to visit their radiology departments on World Radiography Day on 8 November.
"Feedback we have received from previous years shows that World Radiography Day celebrations receive a lot of interest from hospital staff, as well as members of the general public," said SoR chief executive, Richard Evans.
"The event is designed to help raise awareness of the issues facing radiographers in their daily work and, as such, it is important that colleagues – including chief executives – are involved."
