CHPO conference

Interest in this year's CHPO conference is already high, so early registration is recommended to guarantee a place. The event will focus on workforce and service transformation, with particular emphasis on how AHPs can contribute to improving quality and increasing productivity.

The conference, which is aimed at AHP leaders and aspiring leaders. will be held on 6 and 7 October at the London Riverbank Park Plaza.

Karen Middleton, Chief Health Professions Officer, said: "With the current focus on quality, innovation, productivity and prevention, AHPs really are the right people in the right place at the right time. We are key players in prevention, bring value for money and, as most AHPs are first contact practitioners, they set the tone for a high quality experience."

Highlights will include:

• Keynote speakers, including NHS chief executive David Nicholson and International AHP consultant Dr Rosalie Boyce;

 • An interactive action learning set to share best practice and help tackle key issues AHPs face as leaders and aspiring leaders;

• Networking cafes offering exclusive sessions with the SHA AHP Leads;

 • The opportunity to register for career surgery sessions with high achieving AHPs.

Register your interest in the 2009 CHPO conference.
