The Royal College of Radiologists and the College of Radiographers are seeking expressions of interest from teams interested in evaluating benefits realised by their accreditation scheme.
The Imaging Services Accreditation Scheme (ISAS) was launched at this year's UKRC in Manchester. It is the outcome of a three-year project to create an accreditation process to support radiology departments in the UK in delivering higher quality patient-focused services. The independent benefits evaluation project will run concurrently with the initial roll out of the scheme to early adopters.
The purpose of the project is to determine and quantify quality improvement and enhancement in the delivery of imaging services, brought about by adoption of the accreditation process.
Initial expressions of interest are to be submitted prior to Monday 7 September 2009.
