Thumbs up for UKRC

This year’s UKRC has been described as the ‘best ever’ with 87% of attendees saying that they would recommend it to their colleagues, and 88% describing it as a valuable experience for improving and developing practice.

The exhibition was very well attended, with Education on the Stands again proving popular and the satellite lecture series invaluable in showcasing the latest techniques and standards in diagnostic imaging.

The conference committee have listened to the feedback and are putting together a full and varied programme for UKRC 2010 which will include the following eponymous lectures:

• Royal College of Radiologists – Professor Gabriel Krestin, Eramus Medical Centre, Rotterdam ‘What’s new in CT-CA

• Institute of Physics and Engineering in Medicine – Professor Keith Rogers, Cranfield University ‘Enhancement of diagnosis using small angle scattering

• British Institute of Radiology – Professor Lord Ara Darzi, Imperial College London ‘Latest issues in clinical practice

• Society and College of Radiographers – Mrs Dorothy Keane, South Tyneside District Hospital ‘Multidisciplinary working and role extension for radiographers’ and Professor Peter Hogg, University of Salford ‘Positive and negative issues of advanced radiographic practice’.

Further details about the programme will be posted on the event website at www.ukrc.org.uk as they become available.
