News Issue No.52

Expand your horizons

As Imaging and Oncology celebrates edition five this year, managing Professor Audrey Paterson is stepping down.

Audrey has held the reins for the past five years. She said the role has been "immensely rewarding"  but that she believes it’s time for "fresh ideas and thinking to take the journal forward."

The fifth edition has just been published. Authors are encouraged to 'think the unthinkable' and predict how the worlds of imaging and cancer care will look in five to 10 years' time.

Articles in this issue include:
• Demystifying the role of the consultant therapy radiographer - Natalie Howes
• A risky business: implementing emerging technologies into radiotherapy - Donna Routsis
• Implementation of an immersive virtual reality training system for
SPECT-CT and its role in imaging and oncology - Marc Griffiths, Peter Hogg, and others
• Sharing data across healthcare organisations - Stephen Gatley

If you would relish the challenge of producing at least the next two volumes of Imaging & Oncology (2010 and 2011), contact Audrey (020 7740 7208 or audreyp@sor.org).

The appointment is an honorary one and informal expressions of interest are being sought from imaging and oncology professionals.
