For the second year running, the Radiography Student of the Year Award will honour final year undergraduates who represent the 'best of the profession’s values'.
One award each will be made to a diagnostic and theraputic student for their 'outstanding achievement during their radiography training'.
"Many universities hold their own awards but this is a national competition judged by key members of the profession so the title is really unique," said Samantha Jewell, SoR student officer.
"The winners will stand out instantly when they apply for jobs, which is a great opportunity at a time when there is tough competition for posts."
The presentation will take place alongside the SoR Radiographer of the Year 2009 and Team of the Year awards which are held at the House of Commons and attract national press coverage.
This is your chance to put forward names of your students who you think deserve to be recognised for their achievements.
