CORe-learning presentation on the Philips stand at UKRC 2009.
A new online learning resource that supports radiographers' continuing professional development was launched on the Philips stand at UKRC.
Accessible only through the members' area of sor.org, CORe-learning contains nearly a hundred modules that are CPD-endorsed by the College of Radiographers. Delivered in partnership with Philips Medical, the courses provide a range of online programmes covering key elements of the science and practice of medical imaging and radiation therapy. The modules cover a range of topics and the catalogue will be added to as new ones are developed.
Browsing through the course catalogue provides information about the content, author and cost of each module. Typically, modules are £15 each. The system also lets the user know how long each one takes. Once the module is completed and the self-assessment test is taken, the activity can be recorded in the individual's CPD Now portfolio. Users can browse sample pages before buying.
