The AHP Leadership Challenge toolkit and application form are now available.
Launched by the Department of Health, the scheme offers ten regional events for managers to promote creativity in solving challenges. The events will be held in early spring 2009.
Multi-disciplinary teams of AHPs will each take on a fictional challenge based on realistic health and social care scenarios. The best performers in each of the events will then go forward to a high-profile, national event in June 2009.
Jo Partington, project manager, said: "The challenge is about promoting the wealth of skills that AHPs have in leading their teams, services, departments and organisations, and unleashing that potential.
“You could have the opportunity to shine at the national event, in front of professional, clinical and academic health and social care leaders. This is your chance to prove that AHPs can rise to the leadership challenge and use our expertise to set the future direction of service improvements."
