New Brum diagnostic and treatment facility
Birmingham Treatment Centre, a PFI-funded ambulatory care centre, will replace all City Hospital outpatient services from next Monday (28 November).
It is the first of 20 diagnostic and treatment facilities being planned by the National Health Service. By moving most major services from the hospital into the new centre, the aim is to significantly reduce waiting times.

The ground floor houses a cancer centre, breast screening unit, paediatric outpatients and the ENT/ audiology department. It also includes blood testing labs, a pharmacy, and a computerised information centre where people can find out about medical conditions.
