Diagnostics monitoring for 18 weeks
 A programme for collecting performance data (thought to be mostly waiting times and capacity) to monitor the progress towards the 18-week target in England, is to begin in January 2006.
Your trust will have received notification and the details required. The section relating to diagnostic imaging is believed to be relatively short and, hopefully, easy to manage. More details are expected soon from the Department of Health. As soon as these reach SoR, we will get them out to readers of TopTalk.
In the meantime, you may like to ask your trust management team what they will be requiring you to provide. It is clearly essential that data that is fed back is properly representative of the real situation in imaging.
