New certificates and ID cards for radiographers
 The latest version of the HPC certificate has started arriving with radiographers and other AHPs across the UK.
The new certificate has enhanced security features and comes with an ID card. The card features a unique code which ensures that only the health professional themselves can access or change their details, limiting the risks of identity fraud.
The developments will eventually lead to health professionals bring able to log-in and update information on a secure section of the HPC website. It also introduces the potential for online registration renewal.
The new codes will not be activated for a number of months, but testing on prototype systems has already taken place “successfully”, according to the HPC. The HPC will communicate with all health professionals when the codes are activated and explain how they should be used.
