Accelerated career progression from Band 5 to 6

All radiography managers should have received a briefing from the SoR, asking them to support accelerated progression from Band 5 to Band 6 for newly qualified radiographers.

“It is our expectation that, much like the linked grade agreement introduced under Whitley, this will bring benefits and opportunities to both service delivery and the profession,” says Audrey Paterson, SoR director of professional policy.

A similar briefing has been sent to accredited industrial relations and Agenda for Change representatives, asking them to work closely with managers to deliver accelerated career progression. Another briefing has gone out to chief executives of employing organisations and Agenda for Change Leads.
