Informing choice
 An interactive CD has been released as a resource for health professionals offering antenatal and newborn care. Screening Choices enables the health professionals to help women and families make informed choices about screening by ensuring they understand the purpose of screening, what it involves and implications of results.
Women are being offered an increasing range of screening and diagnostic tests through national antenatal and newborn screening programmes.
The programme was commissioned by the UK National Screening Committee and has been developed at the Homerton School of Health Studies.
