Why did you become a radiographer?
There’s never been a better time to be a radiographer, has there? The profession has better recognition than ever before (though we’re not quite up there with doctors and nurses yet). The government is finally realising the value of diagnostic services and cancer care. Advanced and consultant posts are being created…
On the other hand, Agenda for Change is proving to be the huge nightmare we all expected it to be. Pressures on staff and managers are getting worse, not better. The Department of Health gets ever more obsessed with targets. And when is Holby or Casualty going to get it right and give a radiographer a leading role?
