UKRC 2005
More attractions for radiography leaders

UKRC logoWatch out for an emailed invitation to attend a reception on the Wednesday lunchtime of UKRC. This will mark the launch of Radiographer of the Year 2005, as well as the publication of eight new SCoR policy and service documents (full list below).

The reception will also host the launch of the Association of Forensic Radiographers. Invitations will also be available on the SCoR stand.

And don’t forget to pick up your own copy of the new magazine, Imaging & Oncology. We have assembled a list of authors from the imaging and therapy professions that are second-to-none, plus interviews with the movers and shakers who are shaping the future of the profession.

A representative from Connecting for Health/NPfIT will be on the stand to answer questions about the national IT programme and PACS implementation. Please call by and let us know what you think of Toptalk and ways in which the organisation can work more effectively with managers.

If you haven't yet registered to attend the UK's biggest radiography conference and exhibition, click here for details.

The professional documents being launched by the College are:

  • Course of study for the certification of competence in administering intravenous injections;

  • Medical image interpretation & clinical reporting by non-radiologists: The role of the radiographer;

  • A framework for professional leadership in clinical imaging and radiotherapy and oncology services

  • Implementing radiography career progression: guidance for managers

  • A strategy for practice development in radiography

  • IM&T strategy

  • Nuclear medicine practice

  • Guidance on approval and accreditation of practice placements at all levels of pre-registration education

PDF copies will also be available in the publications section of the Society’s website.
