Treatment and management of long term conditions

AHP documentA new document aims to support and encourage leadership by AHPs working in the treatment and management of long-term conditions.

For radiographers, such conditions may include neurological diseases such as stroke and Parkinson’s, arthritis and other musculoskeletal conditions, and medical conditions such as diabetes and cancer.

Sue Barlow, a Specialist Radiographer in Osteoporosis at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre, Oxford, is featured within the document. As a radiographer who has spent the last 10 years working solely in the field of DXA scanning to aid in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of osteoporosis, Sue is part of a multidisciplinary team which is making a difference to the health and well being of many patients.
