Raising awareness of AHPs

Radiographers who work or provide services in primary/community care are being urged to join the steering group of the NHS Alliance AHP/PCP Network. The group normally consists of up to two members from each professional group, however, radiographers are currently unrepresented. One of the network's aims is to raise awareness at national and local level by promoting the ways in which clinicians from AHP/PCP groups can make a difference to health and patient care.

Opportunities highlighted at the last steering group meeting included personal benefits of health; individual contracts for services and advice; routine interventions; PCT attitude towards the health agenda; and the contributions all health practitioners can make.

If you are interested in joining either the steering group, or the wider e-network, please contact Kate Wortham, Coordinator NHS Alliance AHP/PCP Network. Tel: 01865 865 918.
