Developing a first class radiotherapy service
The National Radiotherapy Advisory Group (NRAG) met in April. The group’s remit is to develop a first class radiotherapy service for England by:

Getting the amount of equipment right;
-
Making calculated predictions about change in incidence of cancers;
-
Getting the workforce right;
-
Taking into account new ways of working and new technologies, whilst also incorporating patient choice.
NRAG subgroups reported on scenario planning workstream, new technology workstream and workforce workstream. Other areas of focus included a CSC stocktake update, the Radiotherapy Episodes Project (RES) and breast radiotherapy.
