Research gets a boost from key industry partners

Industry partner scheme logoA new initiative that brings the profession and radiography companies together to provide funds for research, is proving a great success.

Agfa, Carestream (formerly Kodak), GE, IRS, Siemens and Varian have all indicated that they will be taking an active role in the College of Radiographers Industry Partnership Scheme."

"The idea is to deliver benefits to both the profession and to industry by providing support for research and professional development," says the College's chief executive, Richard Evans.

Other key benefits for partners will include receiving assistance in establishing collaborative development, research trial, and beta testing relationships, as well as having access to the College's unique relationships with government departments, regulatory bodies, health care employers, imaging and therapy managers and educators, other professional groups, and international partners.

"In return," said Richard Evans, "the profession is looking for financial support for research and professional development projects."

The industry partners will be presented with plaques acknowledging their support at this year's UKRC.
