Watch those diagnostic reference levels

The Ionising Radiation (Medical Exposure) Regulations 2000 (IR(ME)R2000) require that employers establish diagnostic reference levels (DRLs) and undertake appropriate reviews if they are consistently exceeded.

Non-statutory guidance has just been published by the Department of Health and the Radiation Protection Division of the Health Protection Agency, which takes into account the latest information from the Administration of Radioactive Substances Advisory Committee.
