Scotland publishes practice placements reports
NHS Education for Scotland has published the final reports of the Allied Health Professions Practice Placements Project and the Dietetic Practice Placements Project.
The AHP Practice Placement Project Report covers a breadth of activity including initial scoping of issues facing HEIs and NHS Scotland, details of cross-AHP pilot sites and of the uni-professional dietetic project workstreams.
The report sets out a priority action plan, agreed at a national stakeholder event in May 2005, and subsequently used to inform the development of NHS Education for Scotland AHP initiatives such as the practice-based education facilitation programme.
The Dietetic Practice Placement Project Final Report provides details of work to raise awareness of the impact of changes in allocation for practice placements for dietetics in Scotland.
The report sets out the recommendations of ongoing work required to support local self-sufficiency in placement allocation for Scotland by 2008.
