Make a difference for the better

A lady radiographer scanning someoneRadiology manager, Pam Kemp, is urging colleagues to respond to the Department of Health survey on the Optimal Use of Diagnostic Imaging Equipment Project.

Pam, who is leading the project, said: “From my own experience I know the pressures that face managers in the service and appreciate that this survey must seem like just one more of the many that colleagues get to respond to. However, this project has real potential to make change for the better.”

The scheme will examine equipment utilisation in the NHS to ensure it is being used as efficiently as possible to meet the 18 week target. Information from the survey will provide vital data to inform commissioners, provide levers for improved funding and inform workforce planning for NHS facilities.

For more information, or a copy of the survey contact Pam Kemp.
