Thinking of standing for UK Council?

As UK Council elections get underway, the Society of Radiographers is encouraging first time nominees to step forward.

Scotland, Wales and the northern, London, eastern and south eastern regions currently have vacant seats. Members are also entitled to compete for their local seat, even if it is currently occupied.

“A strong and representative Council is vital for the continued development of the Society and of the profession as a whole in the UK. We will be looking forward to receiving some excellent quality nominations and are keen to support all members who wish to stand, whether they have stood before or not.” said Richard Evans, CEO of the SoR.

“Although Council membership is hard work and requires considerable commitment, there are also huge developmental benefits in what we hope can also be an enjoyable experience.”

If you would like to make a nomination, or are considering standing yourself, contact Gill Smith at the Society head office for a nomination pack. Tel: 020 7740 7203.

The deadline for receipt of completed nomination forms is Thursday 5 April.
