Scottish radiographers assured Annex T consistency

Man looking at x-rays The Scottish Executive has launched new guidelines on the application of Annex T of the Agenda for Change terms and conditions.

Annex T provides for accelerated progression from band 5 to band 6 for newly qualified professionals. The guidelines provide background information and explanation on the implementation of Annex T and have been circulated to Scottish boards.

The agreement was negotiated at the Scottish Terms and Conditions Committee, which includes representatives from the employers, staff side organisations and the Executive.

Elizabeth Stow, SoR national officer for Scotland sits on the committee. She said, "It has taken a reasonable amount of time and effort to get this agreement in place but we can assure radiographers that Annex T does apply to them and will be applied consistently across NHS Scotland."
