DH reconfigures services for older people
 The SoR says managers must speak up on behalf of their departments as the Department of Health reconfiguration of services for older people begins.
The DH is launching a consultation on the service redesign to which the Society will issue a joint response with other bodies through the Allied Health Professions Federation.
In the meantime the Society has suggested that managers establish contact with the SHA lead for older people services. Said Richard Evans, CEO, “Departments which have examples of good practice are encouraged to share these with the older people’s service director at the DH.
“We need to ensure that diagnostic imaging and radiotherapy services are not overlooked in planning the reconfiguration at a local level.”
