IR(ME)R training for non-medical referrers

Encourage colleagues who make non-medical referrals to book a place on the SCoR IR (ME) R training, 30 May 2007.

The full-day workshop will offer joint guidance from the SCoR, the NHS Alliance and other Allied Health and Nursing professional bodies on accepting referrals to clinical imaging departments from non-medically qualified professionals.

Topics will include:

• IR (ME) R regulations overview, including ‘employers procedures;
• Radiation protection issues - why nurses and AHPs require training in this area;
• Protocols for referral, including request cards and employer agreement.

Registration fee is £105 for bookings before 20 May. After that fee is £150. Deadline for all bookings 20 March 2007.
