DH commissions database of imaging equipment
 The Department of Health (DH) has commissioned the development of a national database of diagnostic imaging equipment. The Health Protection Agency, will take forward the ‘utilisation project’, recording where equipment is held, how it is used and by whom.
It is hoped the results will help the DH ensure the equipment is being used as efficiently as possible to meet the 18 week target. Radiologist Pam Kemp is leading the project and will soon be approaching radiology departments and clinicians for data.
