‘Are we getting it right?’
 The Midlands Region are hosting a joint event for reps and managers in a bid to ensure that the regional committee is meeting all members’ needs.
“A vital part of that is encouraging managers to get involved with the local element of the SoR,” said Sue Johnson, chair of the committee.
“Partnership working needs to be developed across the whole employment relationship and managers should have an opportunity to come along with their reps to their professional organisation/trade union to see how attendance can benefit them and their staff.”
Richard Evans, CEO of the SoR, will be speaking on some of the current NHS challenges and other topical issues such as ‘Privatisation by the back door’. This will be followed by an open forum for debate and questions.
The meeting will take place on 14 September at The Barn, Hockley Heath, starting at 10am. Lunch will be provided.
