Philips sponsor World Radiography Day
 This year's World Radiography Day, to be held on 8 November, will be sponsored by Philips.
“We are delighted that Philips have agreed to provide funding to support this year's event," said Richard Evans, the Society’s CEO.
“WRD continues to grow every year and it is highly appropriate that a major industry partner should help the Society to meet the cost of promoting the programme.”
Close to 300 departments are expected to request copies of this year’s World Radiography Day information pack, which will include stickers, posters, fluffy 'bugs', recruitment leaflets, and materials to help departments publicise radiography and the work of radiographers.
"Philips have a long history of supporting radiology departments and staff and we are very pleased to be associated with this key initiative to promote the profession," said Andrea Sheargold, a Philips Medical Systems Marketing Communications Manager.
