UKRC: What did you think of it?
What would encourage you to attend or send staff to UKRC in 2007? The programme at this year’s event was acknowledged as one of the best for many years. The exhibition also offers much more than a chance to collect freebies (this year there were footballs everywhere!), and yet the numbers of radiographers and managers attending the congress are fewer than might be expected.
This year, the pressures of finance were possibly the biggest factor in preventing attendance. It is also increasingly difficult to release staff from work to attend. However, UKRC is the premier opportunity for multidisciplinary learning, networking and partnership with industry in the UK. The organisers need to know how to improve the value of the congress for radiographers and managers and, in particular, what will encourage managers to attend themselves and what will help them justify attendance by their staff.
- Is the registration fee prohibitive?
- Is there a clear CPD value for radiographers?
- Does the exhibition provide a service?
- What improvements would you like to see?
