Fetal anomaly ultrasound guidelines

Patient having a scanAll trusts are being asked to provide a dating scan and 18-21 week anomaly ultrasound scan in line with recent National Institute of Health and Clinical Excellence and UK National Screening Committee recommendations for the fetal anomaly ultrasound screening programme.

A dating scan must be provided prior to Down’s syndrome screening.

Further work on the development of standards to support the screening programme, including consent issues, are being developed.
