Attention bookworms

Bookworm readingRadiographers and other AHPs are being asked to put have their say about the new National Library for Health (NLH) website.

The NLH provides health professionals with a single electronic portal to access the best available evidence to support healthcare and treatment recommendations and policy decisions. A group has been formed to ensure that the views and needs of users are central to its development.

The user group includes clinical, nursing and AHP representatives in addition to CfH technical and development experts. Alison Booth, a diagnostic radiographer, is a member of the group and would like to hear from any AHPs with comments about the NLH site.

“The site is still being developed and refined and will be changing in light of your feedback.” she said. “One issue currently being considered is how the resources should be categorised. Another feature we want feedback on is the single search engine which allows users to type in search terms and run a search across all the resources for this at once. This is already available but is still being refined based on people’s suggestions. Your opinions will count.”

Send any comments or feedback to Alison Booth or by post to the Radiology Department, York Hospital, Wigginton Road, York YO31 8HE.
