‘Management is doing things right; leadership is doing the right things’
 Dealing with ‘real world’ radiology issues, the Society is holding a course for managers at the end of April, with a follow-up day in June.
“The emphasis will be on helping managers to deal with the leadership challenges that are being thrown at them,” said Richard Evans, the SCoR chief executive officer.
“We will be identifying the roles of effective leaders and managers, developing skills to help managers make an impact, learning how to deal with other managers and staff more effectively, as well as coaching on how to influence people,” he continued.
“There will be no ‘role-play’ involved. We’re looking at the real world in which managers have to function.”
Held in conjunction with Management Futures, the first two days of the Radiography Leadership for Managers course will be held on 26 and 27 April at the Society’s London headquarters, with a follow-up day provisionally set for 7 June. The entire course is available at subsidised rate of £600 including VAT.
