American physician assistants to work in Scotland
NHS Boards in Scotland have until the end of the month to submit outline proposals to participate in a pilot project which could see some 20 physician assistants from the US working for NHS Scotland.
The aim of the project is to determine what PAs might contribute. If the pilot is a success, Physician assistants will be trained locally. Recruitment will take place in the States in early June with the aim of having PAs arrive in the autumn for the two-year period of the project.
