AfC matching: How was it for you?
Managers and deputies have been contacting the Society for advice following the outcome of the matching process. There is clearly concern about which profile has been cited as the ‘match’ and, in some cases, about whether the post should have been matched at all, as opposed to it being subject to local evaluation.
SoR is keen to ensure that appropriate action is taken but it is vital that there is clear evidence of the scope of the problem. So far only a handful of managers have completed the on-line survey.
“Completing the survey is vital because it provides us with hard evidence that we can use to raise at national level,” said Warren Town, the Society’s Director of Industrial Relations.
“PLEASE complete the online questionnaire, whether or not you are happy with your banding. It doesn’t take long.”
