HPC registration renewal - Urgent!
Radiographers must renew their registration with the Health Professions Council by 28 February 2006.
“Any one with a registerable qualification in radiography and practising within the broad scope of radiography should be on and remain on the register,” pointed out the SCoR’s director of professional policy, Audrey Paterson.
“In the past, there has been doubt that registration was necessary for some groups such as managers and sonographers. This has been clarified and the clear advice is that they need to remain registered,” she commented.
“Individuals in other professions who failed to meet the deadline for re-registration, were removed from the register and confined to assistant level duties and pay until they had re-registered.
“Members must re-register by the deadline. Otherwise, they are effectively unemployable in their current role. There is no leeway; the deadline is 28 February.”
