Scotland: Focus on ultrasound screening

The Scottish Executive Health Department is undertaking a scoping exercise of screening services in support of implementation of the NHS Quality Improvement Scotland Report, 'Routine ultrasound scanning before 24 weeks of pregnancy'.

The aim is to find out what is happening in antenatal screening in Scotland and provide a gap analysis of current provision. The scoping will be carried out shortly and questionnaires will be distributed through the Screening Co-ordinators in the NHS Boards' areas.
